Check out some pre-made playlists (all on Spotify) that are truly awesome.

Would this truly be a Shofar post without a little promotion for IC 2019? Take a look at the playlist Emily Kolodney has made to hype the Order up for Denver! Also, reminisce about last February in the IC 2018 playlist that had some bops!

The following is a very unique playlist as all of the songs are 100 BPM (Beats Per Minute). This exact rate happens to be the beat to which one would perform CPR to! So, learn a song and possibly be prepared to save a life! *Note: I do not guarantee that knowing these songs will save a life by itself, so go out and get CPR certified!

Sometimes life can be hectic, especially in high school. With frequent assignments, tests, and essays, sometimes you just need to take a moment and chill. The playlist below is sure to get you in a relaxed mood where all you’ll want to do is lay down and mellow out:

On the other hand, you also need to be productive and get work done. For some, classical music can really help with retaining information when trying to cram for that big test! The following is a peaceful playlist for a productive study sesh:

Last year in my region, our members were always rapping through our board calls, business meetings, and officer reports. Rap music is a great way to express yourself while laying out an awesome beat, as in the playlist below:

Where are all the country fans at? There’s something about country music that just brings me to a simpler time and introduces a mood that cannot be replicated with any other type of music. The following playlist is made for the country fan within all of us:

Most of our members were born in the 2000’s, but who said we can't like music from the decades before? Some of my favorite songs are even from the decades before my parents’ time! So, check out these blasts from the past from each decade:

Spotify also conveniently compiles songs that you like to create a playlist just for you! So, make sure to look at “Your Daily Mix” regularly to enjoy music recommended for you.

Hopefully, you will take the time to listen to some of these playlists and find one (or a few) that you enjoyed. Maybe you even have uncovered new inspiration to create some playlists of your own! With that, here is one last playlist for the road:
Road Trip Playlist

Music. It’s something we listen to every day, whether it be driving to school, singing along in the shower or even just a simple song stuck in your head. As cool as individual songs may be, playlists are different; the way we can string together seemingly random and unrelated songs to make something greater is astounding. At a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, music choice is crucial, as you would never expect only one song. Instead, you would expect a lineup to keep you hyped up the entire night.

Jacob Klein is an Aleph from North Florida Region and is excited to return to his hometown of Denver this year at IC 2019.
