International Convention is back and better than ever, and BBYO is able to once again stand together in person as one community. For the first time in two years, delegates from countries all around the world will meet at this year's IC.

This year's Opening Ceremonies kicked off the weekend, with Tai Verdes and so many other amazing speakers. My favorite speakers were Avi and Ben, BBYO's S'ganim and IC Coordinators, because it’s amazing that the core of the Power of Us is with BBYO and Judaism. Their words made me believe that by being united, anything is possible including changing the world.

Opening Ceremonies made me realize that so many people with diverse cultures have one thing in common, and although every individual may have a slightly different heritage, BBYO is a way for us to connect with Judaism.

My favorite part was the performance from the Broadway cast of Hairspray when they sang “Good Morning Baltimore” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat.” I also had the opportunity to reunite with all my friends from the summer and make new friends along the way.

There is so much in store for the rest of the convention and Opening Ceremonies was just one of the aspects that made this IC such a unique and special event.
