10. Hummus

While hummus is mostly everywhere in the world, the best hummus I’ve ever had by far has been in Israel. To make sure you’re getting the best hummus I personally recommend going to a place that specializes in hummus based dishes.

9. Moroccan Food

Because of the high immigration rates of Jews to Israel there is a highly diverse population of Jews that includes Moroccan Jews. Many work with an organization that brings visitors to their homes to try food that is absolutely scrumptious.

8. Rebar Smoothies

Israel has some of the best and freshest produce in the world. This makes for awesome smoothie ingredients that turn into the best smoothies you will ever have.

7. Aroma Coffee

Forget Starbucks, Aroma is where it is. Their coffee and food is amazing and pretty much impossible to resist whenever you see their sign on a building. While the high amount of coffee and sugar may give you a stomachache, it is well worth it.

6. Pita

In Israel if you have found a place that makes their own pita you have hit gold. There is nothing better than fresh baked pita that you can eat plain or with hummus or shawarma.

5. Golda

As aforementioned the produce in Israel is spectacular so when you combine it to make fresh ice cream you’re left with something magical. The ice cream at Golda never fails to hit and if you find yourself there I highly suggest trying the mango flavor.

4. Fuze Tea

As someone who’s from the peach state I wasn’t prepared to fall in love with anything peach flavored, yet Fuze captured my heart. It always is refreshing in the hot Israeli heat and is a definite must try.

3. Shawarma

Israel is highly known for its street food, so I came into the trip knowing I just had to eat the Shawarma. To say I wasn’t disappointed was an understatement. Every street food place I’ve tried has had absolutely amazing food and the nicest people working them.

2. Druze Food

We had the rare opportunity to go into a Druze community and learn from them and enjoy a nice meal. The food had been hyped up by a close friend and the praise was well deserved. Everything at the meal was absolutely incredible tasting.

1. Fresh Produce

For a desert the produce was absolutely incredible tasting. Israel has mastered the art of bringing life to the desert and some of the best food I got to try was in the Negev on various green houses.
